transition from flexi to rigid board

I have dc lines on a rigid board and I need them to leave the board in question on a flexible board. This means that I have to find a way to interface the flexi circuit with the rigid one. One option would be to use the rigid part only as a stiffener, add a flexi layer over it before adding the traces. That way, my dc lines are already on the flexi circuit and all I have to do is not to put a rigid part under the part of  circuit that needs to be flexible. However, this adds a layer, which I wanted to avoid in the beginning... Has anyone already  faced this kind of problem ?
